Full Covered Clothing Fashion Of Women's In Pakistan

In early days women's status in Pakistan are subordinate to men and are responsible not to dishonor their families. In order to maintain this family honor, women are given very limited freedom to move around society. In public area, for example a bus, a separate space is allocated to use by women and permit only little contact with men. In Pakistan women are expected to live their life within their homes and courtyards. Women normally go out only with permission and it's considered a must to go with a company, usually the elder woman or male relative in the family.

Today the Pakistan women enjoy a better status compared to the those early days. Thanks to the many attempts made by its government and open-minded groups to elevate the women's status in the society. In spite of enjoying a better freedom, Pakistan women still very much subjected to a custom dressing fashion. Wearing purdah is still widely practice - wearing concealing clothing from head to toe. Many may see the practice that required women to fully cover their body with clothes, usually in black, as an evil influence that solely prevented women of their rights, shut off the women from the outside world just to make them ignorant of the reality of life. A view from the same angle seen that the women have been deprived of economic independence and having no voice.

However in the other hand, wearing a concealing clothing is seen as a very respectful practice that actually liberates women's status. At some points, women are looked at as individuals who are judged not by their physical beauty but by their inner beauty and mind. Wearing a concealing clothing can also prevents men from seeing women only as the sex objects that can be dominated. Most believers in Islam seen the practice of wearing a concealing clothing is an act of faith that entails the acts of honor, respect, and dignity. This full covered clothing fashion by women places herself on a higher level and allows men to see and respect her for her intellect, faith, and personality.

Either way the practice of purdah (A full covered clothing fashion style) is looked at, whether in a negative or positive ways, it stills remains an integral part of many women's everyday life and marks a part of peoples culture.
